EnviroGreen takes an educative approach when meeting with its potential clients. Owner of EnviroGreen, LLC, Anthony Haag, earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of New Orleans in 2000. After having his home insulated with polyurethane foam years ago by Hi-Tech Foam Systems Anthony realized how much this product reduced his energy bills. Soon after, he took an active interest in polyurethane foam products and many other polymer materials as it relates to insulating abilities along with the potential role it may play in the "green" market. As he researched the many polyurethane products on the market Anthony came to realize that, although most polyurethane products insulate extremely well versus any other insulation products on the market, one company in particular excelled in the formulation of high-performing and a uniquely creative portfolio of products. Anthony Haag found Apex Foam Industries to formulate the most "green" products on the market utilizing agriculturally-based materials from Louisiana. Using these highly-renewable "green" materials, creating highly effective formulations, along with Apex's continuing-strive to perfect its products lead Anthony to develop EnviroGreen Insulation Company. EnviroGreen exclusively offers Apex polyurethane insulation to its clients.

A Word From The Owner

For many years I have had the pleasure of seeing first-hand thousands of combinations of structures, using dissimilar types of insulation, windows and water heaters, with numerous variations of air-conditioning and heating systems and ductwork, all incorporated into many different types of homes, countless of which have very unusual circumstances. My experience has been that the greatest amount of confusion and lack of understanding concerning energy efficiency pertains to polyurethane foam insulation products and the relationship and effects it has on the home such as moisture, the proper sizing and types of HVAC systems to use and proper ventilation. For years after my initial experiences with polyurethane foamed homes there has been no question in my mind as to the fact that no other insulation product comes even close to performing on the same level as polyurethane foam. After testing the tightness of so many foamed houses using a Minneapolis Blower Door System and viewing clients' utility bills I quickly realized the importance of polyurethane foam in constructing an energy efficient healthy home and business.

However, just as important as choosing the correct type of materials for your home is also selecting the proper type of polyurethane foam for the particular application for which it is intended. My experience has taught me that this area of concern is usually very misunderstood as well. Finally, after making the appropriate selection of polyurethane foam, proper installation is crucial to achieving superior performance. The general consensus is that simply spraying foam into the building's walls, attic and/or roof will greatly reduce the building's energy consumption versus other insulation materials on the market. Although this is generally the case, the fact is, attention to proper installation methods is what truly yields the superior performance of what is already a superior product. The combination of the appropriate foam product along with the correct installation practice is key to achieving the highest level energy efficiency along with greater comfort and is what the homeowner should receive when investing in polyurethane foam insulation.
